Print Preparation: Use sublimation ink to print your mirrored design onto sublimation paper (ensure the design size matches the backpack’s target area, e.g., front panel, shoulder straps).
Prep the Backpack: Insert a heat-resistant pillow or cardboard into the backpack to flatten the print area (prevent ink bleeding and ensure even pressure). Smooth out any wrinkles on the fabric surface.
Position & Secure: Place the printed sublimation paper (design side down) onto the target area. Secure the paper with heat-resistant tape to avoid shifting during pressing.
Heat Press Setup: Preheat a flatbed heat press to 180–195℃ (356–383℉) and set the time to 30–40 seconds. Adjust the press pressure to medium-high (ensure full contact with the fabric).
Press & Cure: Lower the heat press platen onto the backpack, ensuring the print area is fully covered. Complete the pressing cycle—avoid moving the backpack or paper during this process.
Cool & Unwrap: After pressing, carefully lift the platen and let the backpack cool for 5–10 minutes. Peel off the sublimation paper and tape to reveal the vivid, permanent design.
Final Check: Wipe the surface gently with a clean cloth—your customized sublimation backpack is ready for use (follow fabric care instructions for long-lasting prints).
